Project Information

Here we will have a list of the projects currently in active development for Overlord Gameworks. As projects become finished and copyright requests are filed titles may change if we discover something with the same name exists somewhere.

Completed Projects
_______________________________________
Overlord Gameworks: The Art of Pen and Paper Game Design
A manual on how to design pen and paper games. It comes with many demonstrations and examples. Published through Amazon as both an E-Book and physical print version. This not a game system core book, but a manual on how to design your own systems. A must have for the aspiring game developer, these skills translate easily into other invaluable forms if you can code!

Active Projects
_______________________________________

NZA: The First World
A game for the RPG Maker VX Ace engine. The game itself is intended to be a free nonsense kind of game that has updates periodically. You'll be able to import your save file from older versions of the game as well. After the game is significantly completed I will likely also upload it as a Steam game for free.

Inactive Projects
_______________________________________
There is a massive pile of inactive projects that have resources created. This list will be populated later. Stay tuned!

Planned Projects
_______________________________________
This space here is to list conceptual ideas that have no resources designed yet. A rough idea may be noted down here. When the rough idea progresses to the point where enough resources exist for it to possibly have a chance of being designed the concept will be bumped up to Inactive Projects. If I decide to focus on the project it will then become Active.

  1. Overlord Gameworks Project Update 3/10/2018
Covering details from January to March

    Contents:
    The Rainbow Ocean Novels
The Art of Pen and Paper Game Design
    The Website
    Nanie's Zanie Adventure RPG
    Its a Supplies!

    The Rainbow Ocean Novels:

Rainbow Ocean: Cross seemed like a great start to the series but then I realized a giant flaw. This book is written with a different tone entirely in mind than the rest of the series as a whole. If I put this out first it gives a false perspective of the Rainbow Ocean Universe. So instead, I think I am going to return to the start. Right after the Rainbow Ocean happens, in the original RPGs, we followed Locke in his quest to defeat Delgen. So perhaps that is the better approach here. Yes, I know it seems tedious that I've dedicated a few months toward working on Rainbow Ocean: Cross and am putting it on a back burner to now focus on Rainbow Ocean: Locke, but believe me it is for the best and will provide a much better experience for the readers.

The Art of Pen and Paper Game Design:

Within the next couple months I will be updating The Art of Pen and Paper Game Design to version 2. It will have more content and be simply superior to the previous book. When I first released it I promised to offer updates that were available for free in the e-book version. That is entirely the case with Amazon Kindle. Paperbacks are physical copies and sadly do not update in your hands after I modify them here.

If you were looking to get a copy of Art of Pen and Paper Game Design, I suggest holding off on getting a Paperback copy for just a little bit while I upgrade the content. Though, if Overlord Gameworks ever makes it big out there the first edition book is sure to be a great collector's piece.

    The Website (www.overlordgameworks.com):

The website has been neglected a little I'm afraid. So I'm going to try to give it some nice care and begin to list reviews, possibly video reviews by YouTube, and discuss certain things in the directory above. Instead of it being kind of just a reference guide for Overlord Gameworks projects alone, why not make it an interactive community site with a lot of content? The website will be leveling up soon!

    Nanie's Zanie Adventure RPG:

Pretty much no progress since the last update has been done with the fun community game. It just kind of sat there in the back, unloved and forgotten.

    Its a Supplies!:

I have gotten my hands on a Wacom Bamboo drawing tablet and fixed my Surface 3 (including its pen). I will be practicing on that diligently and begin to see what I can do with it. If it works out well, this will greatly expand what I can do!

Feel free to comment and discuss!
